Pod Corp Tokyo is pleased to announce its first official demonstration in Japan:
Heavy Gear Midnight Madness will take place at Manga-City on Blue Street in downtown Yokosuka. The demo will be a Role-playing/Tactical game with all materials provided. Additionally, Pod Corp Tokyo will pay the store entry fee for all active participants. So come down Friday, August 2, 2002 before midnight a play a part in the adventure. "It's not your father's mecha game."
The Pod Corp is an organization of gamers dedicated to running, demonstrating, and generally getting the word out about Dream Pod 9 products. I've been a part of it for six years now and I'm still excited to get new players involved.
I ran my first Heavy Gear Demonstration at Armadillo Con 18 in Austin, TX. As the game attracted more and more players through the weekend I knew Heavy Gear would be a success. The players got instantly hooked, just as I had. It's not hard to get hooked considering the great system, rich story, and beautiful artwork.
Since 1996, Dream Pod 9 grew phenomenally while developing Heavy Gear and adding new game lines: Jovian Chronicles; Tribe 8; Gear Krieg; and the upcoming Core Command. Excitement for their games also developed in the areas I served as a demonstrator, or Pod Corp Team Member: Austin, Texas; San Diego, California; and the southern New England area.
